In efforts to change the decorations on my mantel to coincide with holidays and seasons (a first for me)I found two new things for my spring mantel. The larger wreath was 3 bucks on clearance, and I spray painted it with a variety of spring colors. And the egg wreath was 2.50 in the dollar section at target. I grabbed a few other things from around my house and moved things around until I had an aesthetically pleasing configuration. I'm pretty pleased with it. And then a question. Does anyone else's children insist on eating standing up? Julia still does this without constant reminders. And now it seems that Nora is following in her footsteps. She'll sit when I tell her to, but she looooves standing while eating, or her favorite? Sitting on the counter and eating. Oh well. Cute, youngest of 6 children little girls pretty much get to do what they want. At least that is what she thinks.
P.S. I still can't figure out why the spacing I create when I composing disappears when I push publish. Any ideas? Jeff? You would know.

LOVE the mantel!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any who stand but my Norah does in fact squat on the bench, each and every meal!! She twitches when she does this, bounces sometimes.. She will sit when told to but w/in 2min. she's back at it. I don't think she even knows she's doing it but she falls off so dang much that I'm always saying "Norah, your tush needs to be on the bench" or something like that.....
love the shutters. my favorite part for sure! you had better keep an eye on those, or they might disappear thursday night!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe mantel looks amazing! See you Thursday!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! So excited for tomorrow night! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteI have a tendancy to eat standing up. I think it's because I have a difficult time sitting still :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the spacing, Blogger has been giving me troubles too. To fix my paragraphs, I've been going into the html tab and putting the spaces in that way. Find the word where you want your new paragraph to begin and type
right before the word. Should fix it :)
Oops... regarding my message above, type < br > (without spaces) to create the break between paragraphs.
ReplyDeleteDave stood up when he ate his whole growing up. The best I got him to do was put his knee on the chair I provided for him. He can eat sitting down now. I think it al works out! Your decorating is always divine!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter stands up while eating and it drives me crazy. I want my family to be relaxed and comfy around the table and yet she isn't, and then I get naggy and the whole things gets blown out of proportion. Isn't that always what happens, we want a nice time and we ruin it...lol.
ReplyDeleteDarling decor and kiddo!
